Spencer's Retreat Article - April/May 25
Spencer’s Retreat Care Farm Needs Your Help!
Spencer’s Retreat was set up by The Langdale Trust to provide a peaceful countryside retreat for families and groups with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities and is situated in Spencer’s Lane, Berkswell.

We offer the farm to them on an Individual Access Basis. This means that the group visiting will be the only visitors, so we are never crowded or busy. We aim to be a calm, low stimulation but sensory environment to provide respite, recuperation and relaxation.
We have 5 acres of land and around 30 animals, play areas, indoor areas, a sensory garden and a sensory room, which need feeding, looking after and maintaining.
Could you fundraise for us?
A bag of goat food costs £16.50 and will last around 5 days. A bale of hay costs £5 and will feed the sheep for a day.
Our Chairman is running the Two Castles 10K Run again this year to support the farm. If you would like to join him or enter another event, please do get in touch. We have a fundraising page that we can set up in your name to receive donations.

If you would like to hold a coffee morning or event, we can support you with our banners and leaflets and a visit to the farm to see how you have helped.
Any donation is so very gratefully received. We are a small charity, and all of our Trustees and staff are volunteers who give up their time to work for free. All donations go straight to running the charity.
