We have been supporting Beekeepers since 1936. We hold a Taster Day in January for those tempted by the craft; provide help and training to members new to beekeeping by running an Introduction Course for Beginners; and help to develop more experienced Apiarists by mentoring or instruction through exam processes, as required. We run an active Association Apiary where members meet and practical sessions take place in a safe environment under expert guidance, throughout the summer. We are a Community Interest Company (CIC) run by volunteers that manages the community orchard in the Stoneleigh Meadows next to the River Sowe. We make cider (and a little perry) each year which is sold to raise funds to maintain the orchard and for local community projects.
