The Long Itchington BookHub is open weekly at Holy Trinity Church in the village, on Church Road opposite the Co-op. Opening times and days vary through the winter months and coincide with church teas on Tuesday afternoons through the summer. We can help with a variety of issues from how to set up an email address, learning how to stay safe online or learning basic computer skills. We are the town’s civic society, and a local charity, established for the benefit of people living in Stratford-upon-Avon and the surrounding areas. We have been supporting Beekeepers since 1936. We hold a Taster Day in January for those tempted by the craft; provide help and training to members new to beekeeping by running an Introduction Course for Beginners; and help to develop more experienced Apiarists by mentoring or instruction through exam processes, as required. We run an active Association Apiary where members meet and practical sessions take place in a safe environment under expert guidance, throughout the summer. The Society was founded in 1981 to petition for the preservation of the Parsonage, which forms parts of the Bedworth Almshouses. This is now the Bedworth Heritage Centre, which holds many exhibitions throughout the year. Can we help somebody you know? We are a long-established voluntary group who are delighted to help local people of all ages. We provide a confidential but free Reading Service for blind or partially sighted adults who live in Coventry. Reading can include a wide range of materials, letters, paperwork, newspapers, magazines, labels, crosswords, instructions, short stories or even writing Christmas or birthday cards. We are the local support group for Diabetes UK supporting those living with Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes and their families. We offer support and time to listen. Our role is to promote a better understanding and self-management of the condition. We take part in many awareness events throughout the year, everyone is welcome.
