Are you a past or present Coventry Apprentice? Are you eligible to become a Freeman of the City? Past apprentices can apply via the Lord Mayor’s Office. Present apprentices, ensure your employer has registered you with the Lord Mayor’s Office. Attending an Admission Court will grant you Freedom of the City on completion of an apprenticeship. This is the only pathway to becoming a Freeman of the City. Freemen are eligible to join the Coventry Freemen’s Guild, which dates back to the 1300s. Associate membership is also available.
